Dhokra art is a creation dating back to 4000 years ago and depicts the saga of traditional Situlia folks from Dhenkanal, Odisha. The traditional Dhokra work is a typical tribal craft in bronze with its mesh like features giving it a distinctive beauty. It involves intricately patterning a clay core with wax ribbons and then coating it carefully with a mix of clay and hay.
